My personal experience

Having ridden this trail myself, I can attest to its rare balance: it’s physically demanding, yes, but not inaccessible. The route requires endurance and decent overall fitness, but it remains manageable for moderately experienced riders with basic technical skills and confidence on descents.

It’s not a trail for beginners, but you don’t need to be an expert to enjoy it either. There’s a bit of commitment, especially in the descents on the Terres Noires marls, but the challenges are always progressive and never extreme. That allows riders to tackle technical sections without feeling overwhelmed or unsafe.

In short, it’s a demanding but rewarding trail that pushes you out of your comfort zone without exceeding your limits. A truly great adventure for those who want to improve while enjoying an exceptional natural setting.
